Always something in the works it seems!!! That's mostly a pretty good thing. Think about it. As long as something is in the works it means we are active and have a purpose.
The Ludke family has not vacationed a whole lot in the last few years. With a tiny girl in our family we started planning and saving toward a trip to Florida. Date was set, reservations made and the anticipation began.
I put in for vacation in September, and two weeks ago a project came up at work that needed me to complete before leaving. I will spare you the details of all that. But it was a huge relief to walk out of both jobs feeling pretty much like things will be good while I am gone.
One thing that did go on during this week that leaves me firmly placed between the GL in glad and the S in sad. For the last dozen or more years I have operated an online networking group called Vonda's Vine. It's been really fun over the years, but requires many hours a week. I'm tired of it and had decided to end it at the end of September. Long story short, the Lord provided a person to buy my Vine and continue it. It's sorta sad because of the time and history I have with it. I'm glad because it takes a lot off my plate.
Yesterday we left on our much ant icipated vacation. Fun fun! Within 5 miles I had rescued Randy from his first ever hair in the ear. It had to be plucked or it would have bugged me a
tll the way to Florida. Today after eleventy-seven hours in the car together we are just thankful for a stretch of highway without bickering... are we there yet?
Jaimee my darling girl rode with us most of the day. What a great little riding partner she is. Not one second of fussing all day, and we've been on the road for a good 11 or 12 hours.
Next stop will be Savannah to basically say "hi" to Stephanie and Steve. Stephanie is Randy's youngest sister.
Well, my one little finger stirred of poking around on my phone keyboard.
Happy birthday Mark!!!!
Love to all.
