A GREAT WEEKEND for 'Pa and ME!

It's late and I have been thinking about bed for about 6 1/2 hours!  So not going to stay up too much longer!

Rhiannon and Jaimee came to visit us this weekend.  Ryan stayed behind to study - finals are this week and he wants to ace them!  Study-study-study!

Sabbath we went to church and then potluck.  In the afternoon we had small group.  We went to Lynn Tavener's house.  She had knee surgery earlier in the week and we knew she wouldn't be up to getting out.  She graciously allowed us to be there.  I could tell by the end of the time that she was getting very uncomfortable.  Our small group was the LONGEST we've had I think!  We're reading DESIRE OF AGES and this chapter was very long!  We only read part of the accompanying verses - we'll do the rest next week.

Saturday night we had family in for pancakes and to watch the video of mom's birthday party.  (Aunt Lois, I have a copy for you!  I'll get it to you soon.)  It was a noisy ordeal with a ton of people in the room here - plus the video had a lot of noise in the background too.  But it turned out REALLY well and I know we all enjoyed it.  THANKS Rhiannon for your work on this!

After several of the people left - some of us watched THE BLIND SIDE.  We enjoyed it.  JoDe, Josh, Reese and Tearney left before it was totally over.  I know JoDe and Josh had seen it before, not sure about Tearney.  So she might not know how it ends!  Refreshing to see a movie that didn't depend on vulgarity or nudity and sex to make a film.

Got a call in the night Saturday night - Nick had some car problems and needed some help pushing/lifting his car from being stuck.  Randy woke me up.  I had taken Ambien to sleep and I knew I was going somewhere but not sure where!  When we got there they put ME in the car to drive it while the guys lifted/pushed.  One of Nick's friends had responded to his plea for help - so it was the three guys doing the muscle.  Didn't seem like it took too long to remedy the problem.  Came home and went back to sleep!  *LOL*

Now speaking of sleep -- better get going.  Need my beauty rest you know!
