TANNER'S SHOWER

Saturday night after the meeting Wynter and Rhiannon went over to Fulton Place and began preparing for a baby shower for our new cousin/nephew/grandson Tanner!  He is due to make his appearance any time now.  I personally hope he stays put until either October 24 or 29 -- to commemorate either Marlon or dad (Gene)'s birthdays!  JoDe of course is hoping for ANY DAY prior to those dates!  I think she is about ready to be done!

Gr'ma Shirley (Hinkhouse) aka mom made a whole bunch of yummy sandwich spreads, apples and caramel, pickles (or tickles as Jaimee says), etc.  The cake the girls ordered was adorable with little dinosaurs.  And the decorations - well, with Wyn on the team of decorators you KNOW it's gonna be good.  And it was!  Very 'boy' - but still baby!

Our group wasn't huge, but it was a good group with relatives from both sides of the family and a couple of church family.  We had some games - baby bingo which both Reese and Jaimee liked playing.  While we were trying to get 'bingo' - they were having fun looking at their cards finding the objects.

One was particularly difficult.  It was "cow rattle" ... which in and of itself is sort of weird.  Like WHOEVER heard of a COW rattle?  Maybe a rattle with a round end on it or ??? well, anything but a cow.  So to make it even more difficult - the COW rattle looked just like a PIG.  I kid you not.  So anyway - in some foreign country where they have never seen a cow OR a pig - they design baby shower bingo cards, don't you think?  *smile*

So here are some pictures from the shower.  Again you'll have to 'x' out the stupid little Super Poke Pets thing (below) in order to see the full picture.

  1. In the United States the 'dinosaurs' on the cake are called a lion and a giraffe ;-)
