I DID THE CRIME - now I have to pay the fine!

No, this orange color isn't to represent anything to do with HALLOWEEN.  It's to represent the pretty ORANGE jumpsuit the county let's you wear if you are a criminal!  I'm trying  to avoid that little ensemble!

FIRST -- HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY DADDY!! I'm the worst daughter as far as those things. I haven't even called. I had to work all day at City Hall. Spent my lunch hour running to my afternoon job and then back. Tonight I just got home a little bit ago (it's almost 7 p.m. now). I'm zonked. Still have to finish up Vonda's Vine - evening edition - and do the church bulletin! ZZZZZZzzzzz!

I have to start thinking about my plan for conducting my community service time - those 25 hours to rectify my crime of speeding (with an expired license no less!). I've talked to one place and she was happy to have me come do a couple of card making classes for the seniors there. So will at least start with that. Those things take awhile to prepare for - with getting the pieces cut and prepared. So that should help! I have until January -- I don't think anyone would have trouble finding places to volunteer, so I know it won't be hard!

Wishing FULL TIME paid jobs were as easy to secure! I'm sure I'm not alone in that feeling. So many people are wishing the same thing.

Yesterday I was a laundry doing fool! Well, not really - but somehow I had acquired a lot of towels that needed washed. So had two big loads of them. I think sometimes Nick stores things like this in his room (along with our dishes) and then sneaks them periodically into the laundry room (or in the case of dishes - sink). So I got those done. Then decided to wash Ty's bedding. It was smelling a little "doggy".

Threw it in and washed it and then had Nick run the washer again (he had yesterday off) - then last evening it got dried. Ty's 'bedroom' is very close to where I sit here at the computer - and I don't smell that 'doggy' smell this a.m. Whew!

Please keep my high school roommate Kathy's husband in your prayers. (We went to a boarding high school.) She emailed this a.m. that he was having some serious health issues for which they would be getting a for sure diagnosis until next week.

CONGRATULATIONS to Mary Ann in Clinton (IA) -- she got her driver's liscense renewed today.  The state of Iowa requires certain age groups to test more often, she is a happy independent lady today!

AUNT LOIS - I did get your email about organizing something to organize Thanksgiving.  I haven't talked to my sisters about it yet.  During the day stuff is sort of difficult to work in sometimes.  But I suppose I could at least set up a time and place for folks to meet and talk.  Not sure I'd be able to attend, tho I would try.  How about we not cook and order PIZZA?   *lol*  Or have a spaghetti dinner?  Or a pancake lunch? If anyone knows how to play BUNKO, that's kind of fun.  I know how, but not well enough to lead it.  It's a good game for a lot of people.  We (Rhiannon and I) played it for the first time at a fundraiser for Breast Cancer and I think there were over 50 people there.  Just need dice and some score papers and a timer ... what else Rhi?

MOM - are you sure you're up to another family time at the farm?  I will bring some chopped tomatoes, grated cheese, and shredded lettuce.  What do you think?  LMK if those things are already covered.  Thank you.  I don't know how you do it -- wears me out thinking on it!
