I got a bit of distressing news today.
As I went between one job and another, I got a phone call from my afternoon District Manager. She had just learned, and was relaying to me, that approximately 1/3 of my afternoon job was going to be discontinued. This also probably means that 1/3 of my afternoon job paycheck will be discontinued.
The different properties I take care of have different owners and investors and it's their prerogative as to who the management company will be. I think many times these investors have their OWN management companies, under a different corporate umbrella.
This portion of my afternoon job has been looking for a new general partner. My guess is that they found one who has some sort of ties to a different management company.
I suppose they could ask me to stay on -- this is all to take effect on December 1st. My District Manager did acknowledge that when we got this property 18 months ago - that there were lots of vacancies and problems. Now the property is 100% occupied and running better. Everything can be improved upon, of course, but it's better than it was.
I've been telling God all afternoon that I'm going to try not to worry. But rather, trust Him to take care of us as He has done all along.
Rhiannon your song for Sabbath is going to be especially meaningful for me. She is singing for church. Pray for her - it's kind of scary, but she has a pretty voice and will do a great job! She is singing a song called "Dependence", unless she changes her mind!
